I’ve been going to Dillsboro Automotive for about 3 years now. They’ve always been wonderful, very professional and friendly! The only reason I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 is because I had to get my head gasket replaced and it took just a few days short of a month. I know it is an extensive amount of work, but they kept giving me dates for it to be completed and then pushed it back. BUT, any other service I’ve had them do was quick and efficient!

Thanks Donald for reassuring that we do good work. We always strive to provide great service at a fair price and never want to sell anyone anything that isn’t needed. Unfortunately since this conversation was over the phone and we never saw the leak we just try to be upfront about any charges that may occur so our customers are aware of what may need to be done. I was trying to explain that if it was obvious that the radiator was faulty than we would not perform the pressure check as it would not be needed, but for some reason the call was dropped and I didn’t get a chance to finish explaining. We greatly apologize for the lack of clarification.

I like this place. They post their prices. They communicate very well, using text, email and very easy to understand reports. I had some basic maintenance done on my old Rav4 and I'm very happy with the quality and cost. I feel like they really try hard to explain why something needs repair or maintenance and what they are doing about it and what it will cost. I went back today, we're trying to track a tiny oil leak. They think it's a leaky gasket but aren't sure if it's trans or oil pan, there's not enough leaking yet to see clearly. So I paid once to start the process of finding the leak, and the following inspections are free until we find it. That's cool. They also didn't want to change the gasket on a guess. I like that. They finished changing out my various fluids today. Once again the communications with them were easy, I got an email when the car was ready and a call back. Highly recommended. Shop local. It's 6 months later, they just did a new alternator and brakes, oil change. Leak is gone for now. I'll come back. State inspection. Check. Front shocks (6 months later). I got a quote, took it in, done. Quote was correct to the penny. They are the best.
